AN 18TH CENTURY CREAMWARE TEAPOT, fitted domed cover, secured on a chain to the strap work handle, hand painted cobalt blue decoration includes a landscape with cottage to one side, and to the other a lady seated taking tea, inscribed Sally Sikes drinking tea 1780, 17.5cm high (This teapot has been in the vendors family from the beginning, his mother took it to the Antiques Roadshow in the 1990s and David Battie included it in his BBC Pocket Guide, Pottery and Porcelain Book, of which a copy is offered with the teapot)
